Welcome to Women Build 2026!
Women Build brings together passionate women from across our community to raise funds, build homes, and change lives through affordable homeownership. We're thrilled to have you join this empowering, impactful, and FUN journey!
This page is your first step in making the Women Build a success! Here, you can register your team, sign up as a team member, or sign up as an individual fundraiser.
Registration Tips:
- Brainstorm a fun team name together! Puns (Girls Just Want to Raise Funds) or something unique to your group (The Bookclub Builders) are great places to start.
- If you are registering a new team, select "Team" under "Sign Up Type" and enter in your Team Name.
- To sign up as a Team Member, select "Teammate" under "Sign Up Type" and choose the name of your team from the dropdown menu.
- To sign up as an individual fundraiser instead of a team member, choose "Individual"
- Our recommended goal for each participant is $300. This is customizable, so choose what feels right for you.
- There is no penalty if you don't reach your goal. Habitat has always been about bringing people together to build stronger communities, and that's exactly what Women Build is all about. Whether you raise $20 or $2,000, we're grateful to have you as part of this incredible community of women making a difference.
- The "Fundraising Page Title" will be what appears at the top of your page.
- The description is where you will rally your network and tell them why you are teaming up with Habitat for the Women Build. You can share information about Habitat, your personal connection to our mission, or what you're hoping to accomplish.
- You also have the option to share a video link from Youtube or Vimeo. Simply copy/paste the link in the Youtube/Vimeo field on the form. Videos are an engaging way to give your fundraising page even more punch!
- Here is a link to a news story about Greater Lynchburg Habitat for Humanity's 2017 Women Build that shares our local impact.
- Here is a link to a more recent video that shares the "why" and the mission of Habitat.
- Click "Next" and on the next tab you'll be able to upload a photo to display on your page. This can be a group photo of your team or something that represents you. It should be high resolution so it displays correctly (screenshots are not recommended!). A default photo will be displayed if you don't have one you'd like to upload. Habitat staff must approve each photo, so until that happens the default photo will be displayed.
- Once your page is complete, you will receive an email to verify your registration. Click the link to confirm, then you will receive your unique fundraising link and you are ready to share and start FUN-raising
